The Chief Technology Officer will be someone who wants the freedom to build something different and help us keep the thriving small business enterprise alive. About you

You're a highly innovative leader driven to build the strategic technical roadmap of Nimbla and the parent company TradeCrediTech. Passionate about supporting a growing business, you're looking for the opportunity to use your technical acumen to shape the vision and the future of the organisation. You will

  • Establish the company’s strategic technical vision and transform the Nimbla platform into a reliable, secure and scalable product
  • Leads all aspects of the company’s technological development and be responsible for the delivery of all software, including product roadmap velocity and quality, and own the product roadmap
  • Mentor, coach, engage and motivate the current team (2 Senior Developers, 2 Junior Developers, 2 Product) as well as lead the recruitment effort for the technical team
  • Lead and develop people across the organisation, so together we can achieve the company's vision by supporting the creation of an environment where people are given the best opportunity to thrive
  • Be an enthusiastic leader who enjoys leading from the front and working across teams, actively seeking to develop your leadership skills
  • Manage day to day tech operations: project management, application architecture, bug triage, QA & testing, DevOps
  • Communicate the progress of the Product, Engineering and Design domain to the company, the board and the investors
  • Creating timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services
  • Maintaining a consumer-centric outlook when designing and delivering the Nimbla platform
  • Ensuring all technology practices adhere to compliance and regulatory standards
  • Support and develop a growth mindset across the domain, be the driver for change and growth at a business and a personal development
  • Identify competitive advantages and technological trends for the benefit of a company
  • Directs the development and possible implementation of policies in instances of a breach, including disaster recovery plans

Your experience

  • A front-line leader who sees your team's success as your own, providing mentorship and support to help people grow
  • Are comfortable as a leader and want to continue to develop your leadership skills, you enjoy leading from the front and working across teams
  • See individual team members’ success as the number one priority
  • Able to communicate clearly, organise effectively and delegate responsibility so problems are solved quickly
  • A strong sense of purpose and be able to develop profitable strategies, implementing the vision set for the organisation
  • BS in or extensive technological skill set and  a demonstrated history with Information Technology and proven experience in the arena, within a strategic leadership role
  • Ability to actively communicate, inspire and motivate all levels, both internally and externally
  • Ability to think and act strategically and proactively
  • Knowledge of technology trends and of conducting technological analyses and research to build the organisation's technical strategy
  • Experience of working within a regulated industry
