About You:

We're looking for an entrepreneurial, hands-on, Senior Developer to lead our engineering team. You excel in an open environment where you will have the flexibility to work in a way that suits you best and you will be challenged every day. With a passion for engineering high quality scalable solutions, you will be experienced in UI development, API design and Microservices.

This position is ideal for someone already in a lead developer role who wants to continue developing his management skills. You will have the opportunity to plan, deliver, and own Nimbla’s products’ technology road map and architecture, while also running day-to-day operations and delivery of a rapidly evolving product.

You will:

  • Lead a team of developers working in an agile process to continuously deliver new features

  • Write, test and deploy features to our core products

  • Work with the product team to define the technical strategy for our products

  • Take pleasure from clear code and see writing tests as an integral part of the development process

  • Be driven to build interesting software

  • Be able to troubleshoot difficult technical issues

  • Love to solve complex technical problems while learning new technologies in the process

Your Tech Experience:

  • You excel in Node.js and JavaScript

  • You have led one or more teams of developers

  • Provision new services and maintain our existing cloud infrastructure using AWS and containers

  • Improve internal testing, deployment, monitoring tools and processes

  • Influence product planning and solve ongoing scaling and architectural challenges

  • Maintain and support CI/CD tooling for automated build, test and deployment

  • Have strong knowledge of API design and best practices

  • A thorough understanding of UI Development using tools like React and Angular.

  • Comfortable with testing as part of the development process: Unit, functional, integration

  • Strong databases knowledge:  RDBMS, NoSQL

  • Strong knowledge of Microservices architectures
